Ålesund

After an over night boat trip on the Hurtigruten we arrived in Ålesund then we dropped our bags of at 62 degrees Nord and then we went to an aquarium in Ålesund where we saw these ugly fish type eel things and my brother stuck his finger in the wolf fish tank and a wolf fish tried to bite it off. There was also an out door area with seals, sea otters, and penguins. After we went to the aquarium we had lunch at Bro then we went to our hotel and changed into much warmer clothes to go fishing! I did not get any fish but my dad got 2 fish and the captain got four. When the captain was cutting up the fish he threw the scraps into the water and soon about 30 seagulls were chasing after our boat, and some seagulls snatched the scraps right out of the air. When we got back we picked our bags up from 62 degrees Nord and went to our hotel and had a delicious dinner there and the went to bed.

Bergen

In the morning we took a beautiful 6 hour long train ride through the fjords to Bergen. When we got to Bergen we looked at a fish market and walked through town. Then we went to dinner at Bar Vestelend where I had another reindeer stew I didn’t like that much.

The next day we went to the top of the mountain on the tram and saw a foggy view because it had rained and the fog gathered around the mountain. After we took the tram back down we went to lunch at Lysverket. After lunch my mom and dad went inside to look at art and me and brother played on this slinky looking thing. After the museum we got ice cream, while mom and dad had a drink. Then we got on an over night boat to go to Ålesund.

Oslo

We went on a ten hour long ferry to our destination… Oslo. After we left the ferry we went dinner. The next day in Oslo we went to Vigeland Park and looked at famous statues based on the birth of life. Then we took the Metro up into the mountains and had lunch overlooking the city and I had a reindeer stew I devoured. After lunch we hiked to a ski jump and we were able to zip line down the ski jump. The man at the ski jump said you did NOT have to hold on to the bar, but I did anyway, because I was 50 feet off the ground. But the view from up there was beautiful.

On the next day we went to a viking museum which had real live Viking ships in it and then we went to the Fram museum where they have polar exploration ships and we actually got to go in one. Then we took a little boat to Lille Herbern where, we ate lunch and then me, my brother, and my dad all swam in Catigat Sea. After we ate lunch we went back to our apartment then went to dinner.

Skagen

We drove to Skagen from Aurhuas and when we got there we unpacked and then me, Sam and Daddy went to the beach and we climbed rocks, skipped stones, and then had to walk back to the car through sand dunes and on rocks. Then we drove back to Ruth’s Hotel and I had king crab for dinner and Mom cut herself twice trying to help me get my crab out of the shell.

Arhuas

We drove to Arhuas in the late morning and got in at around 2 p.m. We went to the Aros Museum and looked and walked in a rainbow pathway in a circle on top of the Museum and then went down 8 stories full of art! At the gift shop I got a pair of sunglasses.

Falsled

We drove to Falsled after breakfast and stopped in Odense and looked at where Hans Christian Andersen was born, where he lived and The Hans Christian Andersen Museum. We also stopped at a castle! We drove to an inn called The Falsled Crow. After dinner we watched the sun set and took a walk along the boat docks where we saw a boat named “Eliza”!

Copenhagen, Denmark

Two days ago in Copenhagen we got off a train around noon and then went as shopping in Copenhagen and went to a LEGO store I wanted a really big roller coaster set but Mom said I would have to haul it around with me, so I got a small free build LEGO box instead. Yesterday in Copenhagen Me, my brother, my Mom, and my Dad rode bikes around Copenhagen (All Day) and biked out to “The Little Mermaid” Statue and we also biked out to an old Castle. For dinner we went to a place called Manfreds and had pork ribs and the tasting menu. Today we got on a train to go to the Louisiana Modern Art Museum but me and Sam stayed in an kids art place and I built an airport out of LEGO’s and my brother built an airplane. We are about to go to dinner. Here it is 6:38, but you are on an & hour time difference.

Stockholm!

We arrived at seven in the morning Stockholm time but in Houston it was one! After we settled into our apartment we walked down to City Hall and climbed 365 steps to the top of City Hall Tower! We tried to go to the Farmers Market but the Market was closed for the Mid Sommer (supposed to be spelled that way) So we TRIED to go to the Grand Hotel but they said they were full and suggested that we go to the restaurant on the other side of the entry doors, so at least THAT worked out. After lunch we went on a Hop On Hop Off boat tour and got out at the Fotografiska (supposed to be spelled that way) and got photograph souvenirs! Then we went to a cafe and ate dinner there and we went to sleep.

The next day in Stockholm we went to the Vasa Museum which is a museum about a ship that was top heavy and sank 20 minutes right after the boat casted off and laid at the bottom of the sea for 200 years and they were able to preserve the boat. After we went to the Vasa museum we ate lunch in a park. Then we went on a canoe ride and saw these head statues and looked at them from different perspectives.
